Russell Baylis served as an officer in the British Armed Forces for 5 years before qualifying as a chartered Architect in 1996. During his time studying Architecture at Cambridge he was awarded the ‘Young Architect of the Year’ title by the Architects Journal and then went on to win 2 major architectural design competitions; a national RIBA sponsored competition for Camper & Nicholson Yachts new marina in Gosport and an RIAS sponsored European competition for Scotland’s Marine Interpretation Centre.
During his career he has worked for the nationally acclaimed architect Sir Michael Hopkins & Partners London before moving back to the West Country and setting up Russell Baylis Ltd.
